Pastor Billy J. King, Jr.  is pastor and founder of Prayer House Ministries, Mobile, Alabama.  He is a devoted and committed husband to Vickie D. King; and father to Billy J. King, III and Amber V. King. Pastor King is a 1990 graduate of Murphy High School and continued his education at S. D. Bishop Community College and Alabama State University.  Several years later, he pursued Theological studies at New Pilgrim Christian Bible College and Seminary, Saraland, Alabama, under the leadership of Dr. Charlie F. Williams, Chancellor.

Pastor King accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into his life at an early age and throughout the years, served in various capacities of leadership, which included Youth Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent, at Mt. Carmel Church Ministries, Prichard, Alabama, under the pastorate of Pastor (currently Apostle) Carl D. Bolden.  

Later in life, Pastor King accepted his call into the ministry under the leadership of his spiritual father, Apostle Carl D. Bolden, Mt. Carmel Church Ministries. Recognizing the anointing and calling upon Pastor King’s life, Apostle Bolden appointed him to the position of Trustee and later Pastor King served in the office of Youth Pastor.  In September 2010, Pastor King was formally ordained into the ministry at Mt. Carmel and continued to serve God faithfully with all his heart, mind, body, and soul.  He has a steadfast and unmovable passion for the love of God and sharing God’s Word for the sole purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God under the power and authority of Holy Spirit. In April 2016 and in obedience to Holy Spirit, Pastor King, along with the support of his wife, Vickie, founded Prayer House Ministries.  The mission is to “Boldly life up the name of Jesus under the power of Holy Spirit so that souls would be won to the Kingdom of God, while continuing in a consistent, effective mode of making disciples in all the earth with the mindset of God being glorified in every area of this ministry.” On Friday, July 1, 2016, Pastor King was formally installed as Pastor of Prayer House Ministries by Apostle Carl D. Bolden, and thereafter, transitioned from Mt. Carmel to Prayer House Ministries (which is currently located at 1210 Azalea Road, Mobile, Alabama), to continue to operate in obedience to The Most High God!   

Pastor King is a man of God who loves the Lord, his family, and the people of God. He continues to preach, teach, and share the love of Jesus Christ with everyone – especially those that are lost!
